Welcome to the new Army Logistics University (ALU). ALU is a composite campus for military and DoD logistics leader education. Ft Lee Lodge (read below then click text link)



On 1 OCT 2015, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) assumed management of the Army Lodge on Fort Lee, VA. ALU has established a Privatized Army Lodging (PAL) office that will manage the required on-post lodging of ALU students. Students will be notified prior to class start of the availability of on-post lodging. It is extremely important that students know where they will be lodged in order to secure reservations if on-post lodging is not available. See below to determine your requirements based on your specific lodging availability:

    • On-post: The ALU PAL office will make reservations for Soldiers (Army, ARNG, and USAR) who have a confirmed ATRRS reservation (R) status and have been notified of on-post availability.

    • Off-post: Students who have been notified that they will be lodged off-post will be required to make their own reservations through DTS. Statements of Non-Availability (SNA) will no longer be required in order to make reservations for off-post lodging.

It is highly recommended that your unit authorizes a rental car (unit funded) if you are flying to Ft Lee or in-and-around mileage (20 miles per day for off-post students and 5 miles per day for on-post students if traveling by a Privately Owned Automobile (POA)). It is currently a unit responsibility to fund for rental vehicles.

In accordance with DoD Policy, you are required to have a Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) prior to attending school to pay lodging, meal, and rental car expenses as applicable. Sending units are required to input all travel requirements using the Defense Travel System (DTS). Requirements include hotel reservation, meals and transportation. There is no restaurant in the Army Lodge. MWR offers snacks only but no prepared foods.
